Crop Progress Update – 11/22/21
According to the USDA, corn and soybean harvest progress each finished slightly below analyst expectations during the week ending Nov 21st.
Corn:
Corn harvest progress as of the week ending Nov 21st was 95% complete, finishing behind last year’s pace of 97% completed but remaining ahead of the five year average pace of 92% completed. Corn harvest progress finished slightly below analyst expectations of 96% completed.
An additional four percent of the total U.S. corn crop was harvested during the week ending Nov 21st. Weekly increases in corn harvest on a percentage basis were led by Wyoming and New Mexico, followed by Idaho.
Soybeans:
Soybean harvest progress as of the week ending Nov 21st was 95% complete, finishing behind last year’s pace of 98% completed and the five year average pace of 96% completed. Soybean harvest progress finished slightly below analyst expectations of 96% completed.
An additional five percent of the total U.S. soybean crop was harvested during the week ending Nov 21st. Weekly increases in soybean harvest on a percentage basis were led by South Carolina, followed by Alabama.
