- No change from previous month’s forecast.
- ’13/’14 Corn
- Corn for export was increased 150 million bushels on strong forward sales commitments.
- Ending stocks were projected at 1.481 billion bushels or 40.7 days of use which was on the low end of private estimates.
- ’12/’13 Soybeans
- No change from previous month’s forecast.
- ’13/’14 Soybeans
- Exports were increased 15 million bushels to match strong forward sales commitments.
- Ending stocks were projected at 150 million bushels or 16.6 days of use. This was in line with trade estimates.
- Other Markets
- World soybean production is projected higher and ending stocks at record levels of 73 million tons. China imports roughly 2/3 of all world soybean exports.
- PEDv continues to reduce US pork production estimates for 2014 which are only partially offset by higher beef output.
