Crop Progress Update – 11/18/19
According to USDA, corn harvest figures remained at a ten year low seasonal pace, finishing slightly below average analyst expectations, while soybean harvest figures finished equal to last year’s pace, consistent with average analyst expectations.
Corn:
Corn harvest progress as of the week ending Nov 17th was 76% complete, remaining behind last year’s pace of 89% and the five year average pace of 92%. Corn harvest progress finished at a ten year low seasonal pace and was slightly below average analyst expectations of 77% completed.
Corn harvest progress finished most significantly behind five year average figures throughout North Dakota, followed by South Dakota and Michigan.
Soybeans:
Soybean harvest progress as of the week ending Nov 17th was 91% complete, finishing equal to last year’s pace but remaining below the five year average pace of 95%. Soybean harvest progress finished tied for the lowest seasonal pace experienced throughout the past ten years but was consistent with average analyst expectations.
Soybean harvest progress finished most significantly behind five year average figures throughout Wisconsin, followed by Michigan and North Dakota.
